Alice was very quietly lying on the couch this morning. She was too quiet. It first struck me as odd, as she's generally sleeping or crying and only takes breaks to eat. Not wanting to miss the moment, I sat down and put her on my lap, looking up at me.
Was that a smile? No, it's too early. But, it sure looked like she was smiling...
Cue intense music and lighting
Her mouth formed a perfect "O" as a fountain a vomit streamed upward out of Alice's mouth, covering my face, clothes (soaked me to the skin), her clothes, the couch and the carpet. I have never witnessed such a forceful display from one of my children, nor such a foul tasting one.
My biggest regret is that I didn't catch it on film. Moments like that rarely happen twice in the same way.

Wow. You're so awesome. Sorry about getting blasted by Old...Young Faithful. Your last comments prove that we live in a YouTube world.
That would've totally grossed me out before, but now I just think back to the many times I was slobbered or spit on. I'm impressed she had the force to get you while laying down. Sophia usually got me when I was holding her over my head playing.
Ha ha ha ha ha! That's so funny! I mean, cleaning up a mess is never truly hilarious, but still. :) I kinda wish you had caught it on film, too.
I just feel like I can relate with this post all too well right now. In fact, I got spit up on as I was reading it. Oh, isn't it fun? :)
Ah, life with babies, right? Don't worry. I'm sure you'll have another opportunity to be barfed on. :)
Woah!
Holy Cow! The joy's of motherhood! Hey, I have loved looking at your blog. Alice is so adorable!
