Introducing Ivy

Ivy Suzanne Lund

joined our family on Friday, April 5, 2013
6:53 am

6 lb. 5 oz
19 in

We are so in love with her already, and the biggest problem so far, seems to be over-affectionate sisters. Ivy is very good natured and easy going at this point (thank you thank you thank you thank you), and as long as everyone gets enough Ivy time, the older sisters are happy too.

Thanks to everyone for all the support, meals, babysitting, etc. Really. Thanks.

Update. I know. . . Way past due

*Uh, a bunch of holidays and family stuff... Has it really been that long since I've posted?

*B lost his job, but has been staying plenty busy with a few projects he's been wanting to have time for--including a new app for the iPhone. More on that coming soon.

*I'm at 26 weeks, (which I'm sure means nothing to some of you) and for the first time, am willing this pregnancy to slow down, because, what the heck am I going to do when the baby gets here?!?!?!?

*Daughter #1 is getting as smart and sassy as ever, and is officially a "sunbeam" at church. She's starting to learn how to read--both the written word and notes on a staff. She also cooked her first scrambled egg yesterday by herself. I already knew that she loved cracking eggs, but was pleasantly surprised at how careful she was while cooking.

Heard lately from her:
"Hey mom!!! I just saw a puma. Oh, never mind. It was just Alice"

*Daughter #2 is also growing up faster than I would prefer. She learns new vocabulary every day, and is quickly turning into a comedian. She's pretty dramatic, but when she's happy, she has the whole family in hysterics. And she's ALMOST old enough for nursery. Can't. Wait.

And from her:
Me: "What was the best part of everyone's day?"
Daughter #2: "ME!"

*Daughter #3 is still kicking. . . literally. Not much to mention there, except that we've been sick with one thing or another since Christmas Day, and I've managed to catch everything pretty badly. . . which cough and sore throat are the reason I'm awake and blogging at 3:49 am. 'Tis the season, I guess.
